Stage 773 Announces Two Staff Appointments
Stage 773, located at 1225 W. Belmont, is thrilled to announce the appointments of Jill Valentine as Executive Director and Jack Short as Managing Director of the theater. Both with long standing careers in the theater industry and at Stage 773, Valentine and Short bring years of knowledge and experience to their new positions.

Two actors and a foley artist reenact, shot by shot, one of the greatest movie blockbusters of all time…a storyteller shares her story of growing up in a Jewish family in Brooklyn after World War II…five Brazilian actors bring to life, over a small platform, thousands of years of history, from the Big Bang to that country's military dictatorship…meanwhile, another group of puppeteers and musicians sing murderous ballads as the puppet body count grows around them…and a bag lady builds a world full of puppets with plastic bags.

Stage 773, 1225 W. Belmont, presents THE holiday show of the season; It's a Wonderful Santaland Miracle, Nut Cracking Christmas Story... Jews Welcome! The hilarious holiday cavalcade runs November 19 through December 27, with direction by Stage 773 Creative Director Brian Posen and choreography by Matter Dance. This family-friendly, interactive show features familiar Christmas carols, original musical numbers, dance, sketch comedy, puppets and everything in between.

Stage 773's Annual Holiday Show to Run 11/14-12/28
Stage 773, 1225 W. Belmont, presents THE holiday show of the season, It's a Wonderful Santaland Miracle, Nut Cracking Christmas Story... Jews Welcome!, running November 14 through December 28 with a press opening Sunday, November 16 at 3 p.m. Directed by Stage 773 Creative Director Brian Posen with choreography by Matter Dance, this family-friendly, interactive show features original Christmas carols, dance numbers, spoken word, puppets and everything in between. Stage 773 puts their own twist on the traditional holiday show, packing the world's most beloved stories and traditions into one extravagant cavalcade. To heighten the holiday spirit, both cookies and non-holiday-specific eggnog will be served. Additionally, Stage 773 will serve as a drop-off site for the Greater Chicago Food Depository throughout the run of the production.

The evening's events will be emceed by John Gerbin who portrayed Buck on NBC's popular sci-fi drama Heroes. The Live Auctioneer is prominent Chicago comedian Tim Soszko. Stage 773 Announces Santa Claus Appearance, 12/23
Street Tempo Theatre welcomes Santa Claus to their presentation of It's A Wonderful Santa Land Miracle Nut Cracking Christmas Story… Jews Welcome, a multimedia holiday extravaganza for the entire family at Stage 773, 1225 W. Belmont Ave, for two Sundays only, December 16 and 23 at 3 p.m. Santa will be mingling in the Stage 773 lobby following the performances to listen to children's wish lists and to pose for photographs. It's A Wonderful Santa Land Miracle Nut Cracking Christmas Story… Jews Welcome is playing through Sunday, Dec. 30 with performance times Fridays and Saturdays and 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. Ticket are $30 for the regular run. Cady Huffman to Star in WOOD at NYMF
Producers Emily Miller and New York Theatre Barn have announced that Tony Award-Winner Cady Huffman (The Producers, The Will Rogers Follies) will star in WOOD, which is an official selection of the upcoming 2008 New York Musical Theatre Festival.
