The Media Theatre held auditions for the 2012 "Delco Idol" contests on May 21 and 23. More than 150 singers participated, and now the theatre has chosen this year's contestants. The final list of contestants for "Delco Idol" and "Delco Idol Junior" is available online at www.mediatheatre.org.

Media Theatre's "Delco Idol" contest begins tonight, July 11 at 7pm, with the "Junior" competition starting up Sunday July 15 at 7pm. Each continues for a total of five weeks. Five or more contestants are eliminated each week until the finals, when 20 singers will try for the 2012 title in each contest. Iron Workers Bank is the sponsor for the third summer.

FOX-TV's "Good Day Philadelphia" morning anchor Sue Serio returns to emcee "Delco Idol" for the third summer at The Media Theatre, beginning Wednesday evening July 11. She will add her welcoming personality to the popular singing contest during its five week run, through August 8.

PA's Media Theatre to Host Live Twitter Chat with SPRING AWAKENING's Jack Raymond, 4/11

Actor Jack Raymond, who plays Moritz in The Media Theatre's current production of Spring Awakening, will host a live Twitter chat on Wednesday, April 11 at 6 pm. The hour-long chat will allow Twitter users to connect with Raymond on a person-to-person basis. Followers may ask him about the musical, his career, his role, even his likes and dislikes during the candid chat.
York Theatre Company to Present THE ROAD TO RUIN Reading Directed by Pat Birch, 1/25 & 1/26

The York Theatre Company will continue their Developmental Reading Series with the presentation of William Zeffiro's musical, THE ROAD TO RUIN. The reading will be directed by Tony nominee Pat Birch with a cast featuring members of Marymount Manhattan College's theatre program. The readings will take place January 25th and 26th at 7:30pm.
