Born in Cardiff in 1998, Jac Yarrow rose to fame for his Olivier Award-nominated performance as the title role in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the London Palladium.
At the age of eighteen, Yarrow began professional training at Arts Ed. He stayed at Arts Ed for the three year musical theatre course, eventually graduating in 2019. But, unlike the majority of his peers, he was cast in a West End leading role before finishing his training. In his final year of studies, Yarrow played Jack Kelly in the UK premiere of Newsies. During this limited engagement, Yarrow was scouted to play Joseph in the 2019 revival of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and won the coveted role.
So before his graduation day, Yarrow made his professional stage debut at the London Palladium, which is no mean feat. In Joseph in 2019, he starred alongside Joseph returnee Jason Donovan as the Pharaoh and Sheridan Smith as the Narrator. And even though he was making his debut, Yarrow was undeniably the star of the show, eventually receiving his first Olivier nomination for Best Actor in a Musical.
In his early credits so far, Yarrow has clearly made the London Palladium his West End home. In 2020, he starred in Pantoland at the Palladium alongside Beverley Knight and Elaine Paige. Yarrow is fast becoming one of the West End’s most recognisable actors. He’s played Prince Topher in a concert production of Cinderella, and was due to star in a concert version of The Secret Garden opposite Lucie Jones.
Jac Yarrow reprised the role of Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the London Palladium in 2021. He starred alongside original Joseph cast members Jason Donovan and Linzi Hateley.
