August Wilson Center's Uhuru Jazz Series Continues With Singer Vanisha Gould

After two stellar performances at the 2022 Pittsburgh International Jazz Festival, composer/vocalist Vanisha Gould returns to Pittsburgh to perform in the latest installment of the Uhuru Jazz Series at The August Wilson African American Cultural Center (AWAACC), 980 Liberty Avenue, on Friday, February 10, at 7:00 pm.

The vocalists who will sing at the Pittsburgh International Jazz Festival (PIJF), which runs from September 16-18, will expand and extend on the legacy of their Steel City forebears.

Grammy honored JC Hopkins and his Biggish Band will be playing musical host at the legendary Minton's Playhouse for ringing in the New Year and no better place to do it than at the birthplace of bebop. The Biggish Band has backed a number of musical legends in its time including Norah Jones, Elvis Costello, Tony Bennett, Jazzmeia Horn and Jon Hendricks to name a few.
