Festival Theater Hudson today announced its inaugural 2021-2022 season, beginning with a Gala Inaugural Concert featuring the US premier of Israeli composer Ittai Shapira's Magyar: A Concerto for Two Violins, followed by Act l of Richard Wagner's Die Walkure.

On May 24, 2019 at 7:00 PM at National Sawdust (80 North 6th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11249), violinist, composer, and psychotherapist Cornelius Dufallo (ETHEL, Flux Quartet), violinist and composer Ittai Shapira, pianist and composer Emir Gams z, neuroscientist Joseph LeDoux, and psychoanalyst Ruth Oscharoff will offer a provocative investigation of how composers use silence and how it affects us with Silence and Memory: An Exploration of Music, Mind and Brain.
Voices Carry Presents World Premiere of STRINGS ATTACHED
Voices Carry, Inc. will present the World Premiere of Strings Attached, a multidisciplinary project, involving contemporary dance, abstract puppetry, an original score, and performance art, for two weekends opening on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at The Shakespeare Center of Los Angeles in Downtown LA. The work, which has been in development for three years, is a window into the human capacity to love, with a focus on the universal feelings of grief, forgiveness, devotion, entrapment, and joy. Voices Carry, a nonprofit corporation guided by Artistic Director Madeline Leavitt, is dedicated to breaking down cultural barriers and embracing diversity through dance, theatre, and performance art.

These fully staged, one-act operas - a tragedy and a comedy inspired by two Renaissance stories - will be performed with a chamber ensemble conducted by Victoria Bond, artistic director of Cutting Edge Concerts, and will be directed byTom Dulack.
