BIO
Issa Best is an alum of NYU's Tisch Drama and has been dancing for 8 years. Before graduating Issa spent time studying dance and physical acting techniques at Howard University, Stella Adler, and NYU's New Studio on Broadway through Patrica Thomas, Sarita Lou, Joanne Edelmann, Dell Howlett, Byron Easley, Baayork Lee, and Alex Sanchez. Issa is trained in Jazz, Musical Theater, Modern, and Voguing. Through dance exploration, Issa has become proud of his body and the full range of it's expression and hopes to inspire others of all body types to keep dancing!

THE GREEN ROOM 42 will present “Only the Best: A Concert to Benefit the Issa Malak Best Scholarship Fund at NYU” on September 2nd, 2024 at 7:00 PM. This concert and scholarship fund was created in the memory of Issa Best - a brilliant and passionate artist and an NYU alumnus.

Primary Stages announced today the selections for ESPA Drills 2019, a developmental play program that provides staged readings to four playwrights selected by blind submission, for scripts developed at Primary Stages ESPA. Presented by Primary Stages Einhorn School of Performing Arts (ESPA), the plays are workshopped under the guidance of the Primary Stages ESPA staff. All readings are free and open to the public and will be held at The Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street) on Monday, April 1 and Monday, April 8, 2019.
