Replacing the previously announced production of Yes So I Said Yes by David Ireland which has been postponed due to scheduling conflicts, Not Now by multi-award-winning playwright David Ireland has its English premiere at the Finborough Theatre for a four week limited season starting on Tuesday, 1 November 2022 (Press Nights: Thursday, 3 November 2022 and Friday, 4 November 2022 at 7.30pm).

It is chilling to think that The Melting Pot, a play that revolves around anti-Semitism in America and Europe, was first performed in 1908, decades before the atrocity of the Holocaust. The Finborough Theatre production marks the first time in almost 80 years that it has been staged in the UK, with its last production being in 1938 just before World War II.

In a rediscovery commissioned by the Finborough Theatre, The Melting Pot by Israel Zangwill runs at the Finborough Theatre, playing Sunday and Monday evenings and Tuesday matinees from Sunday, 3 December 2017. The classic story of a young Russian immigrant fighting to uphold his dream of a new life in a new country. After his family are massacred in a pogrom, Jewish composer David Quixano escapes to New York City, in search of a new life. There he falls in love with Vera, a beautiful Russian Christian.
