"Songs from Cult Classics to Benefit the ACLU" is returning to Feinstein's/54 Below for its second year! On Today October 3rd at 9:30pm cult classic musical lovers will gather at Feinstein's/54 Below for a concert of songs from their favorite under-appreciated shows. Featuring a line up of Broadway performers and emerging artists, the evening will highlight songs revolving around the themes of oppression and hope. Proceeds will be donated to the ACLU.

MULTISTAGES, in association with Dr. Judy Kuriansky and Jane Velez-Mitchell, is pleased to present a first look at the award-winning musical, TEMPLE OF THE SOULS, co-written by poet Anita Velez-Mitchell, platinum-winning composers Dean Landon and Anika Paris, and MultiStages Artistic Director Lorca Peress. BWW Review: IN THE HEIGHTS Explodes with Latino Verve at Beck Center
At the start of IN THE HEIGHTS, now in its locally produced premiere at Beck Center, Usnavi chases away Graffiti Pete, a graffiti artist, from in front of his Washington Heights 'bodega' (Spanish for a small neighbor grocery store). As the young owner raps, the lyrics and music set the mood for what is a three-day visit to the largely Hispanic/Latino neighborhood on the brink of change. It's a place where families bond, neighborhood ties are strong, and the George Washington Bridge casts its shadow across the hopes and dreams of the residents.
