Today we rewind to 2018, when Encores brought Grand Hotel back to the stage. Originally produced under the title At the Grand (1958), with a score by Robert Wrightand George Forrest and book by Luther Davis, the production was revitalized in 1989 by director-choreographer Tommy Tune, with additional music and lyrics by Maury Yeston, for a Tony Award-winning run on Broadway.
American Ballet Theatre Announces 2020 Promotions

Joo Won Ahn, Aran Bell, Skylar Brandt, Thomas Forster, Calvin Royal III and Cassandra Trenary have been appointed to the rank of Principal Dancer with American Ballet Theatre. Gabe Stone Shayer has been promoted to the rank of Soloist. The promotions, announced today by ABT Artistic Director Kevin McKenzie, are effective immediately.

Ensemble for the Romantic Century today announced the postponement of the Off-Broadway premiere of its acclaimed production Akhmatova: The Heart Is Not Made of Stone by Eve Wolf. Performances were scheduled to begin April 24th for a limited engagement through May 29th at The Duke on 42nd Street.

The album for the new dance musical The Beast in the Jungle is not your typical cast recording. Actually, it's not a cast recording at all, but a score recording that's purely instrumental. Even though the lack of dialogue and character voices makes it a more challenging score to listen to out of context (as opposed to a typical "cast album"), it's a truly masterful and moving score in its own right.
