Hilliard Arts Council is proud to present our annual large stage summer musical: Crazy For You. This Tony award winning musical will showcase the efforts of a large cast of talented actors, singers and dancers hailing from the greater Columbus area in a production featuring lavish costumes, big production numbers, a full pit orchestra and of course the high-quality community theatre you expect from a Hilliard Arts Council show. Billed as “The New Gershwin Musical Comedy”, Crazy for You is a romantic comedy musical about a well-to-do young New Yorker, Bobby Child, who is sent to Nevada to foreclose on a theatre owned by the family business. Falling in love with the local postmistress, Bobby decides to produce a show to save the theatre.

Carnegie Hall's Lullaby Project Reaches Hundreds of Families Throughout 2018-2019 Season
This season, approximately 700 families in New York City, across the country, and around the world will take part in Carnegie Hall's Lullaby Project, a program which pairs pregnant women and new parents with professional artists to write personal lullabies for their babies, supporting maternal health, aiding child development, and strengthening the bond between parent and child. In New York City, the project will reach parents at 15 different sites, including healthcare settings, homeless shelters, high schools, foster care, and correctional facilities.

The 17th Annual Tribeca Film Festival Announces Short Film Lineup With Narrative, Documentary, & Animated Shorts
The 17th annual Tribeca Film Festival, presented by AT&T, today announced its lineup of 55 diverse and engaging short films in competition, including 29 world premieres. The selected shorts include a cross-section of international and U.S. filmmakers and were curated from a record 4,754 submissions. For the second year running, 40% of the selections are directed by female filmmakers. The short films will be presented in 10 distinct competition programs, which consist of five narrative, three documentary, one animation, and one hybrid program. The program will also include special screenings and the 12th annual Tribeca/ESPN Sports Film Festival, sponsored by Mohegan Sun. The Shorts Film program, sponsored by Nutella®, runs throughout the Festival, April 18-29.
American Cochlear Implant Alliance to Host World Premiere of Documentary THE LISTENING PROJECT
Next month, the American Cochlear Implant Alliance will host the premiere of The Listening Project, a documentary co-created by renowned audiologist Jane Madell and Emmy Award-winning and Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Irene Taylor Brodsky. The film profiles 15 young adults who were born deaf but can now hear, thanks to cutting-edge technologies, including cochlear implants.
