Ione Miller

Ione Miller was Evelyn Miller's stage name. Ione Miller also performed at the Imperial in "Rose Marie" which opened in 1924. Ione was the hat check girl and then became a fan girl in the show. She was in the original opening and was in the first Troupe to take it on the road. She married Joseph Lester Blevins in 1929 and left the stage to teach ballet in up state New York. She had a daughter named Gloria in 1938. Joseph and Evelyn, satge name Ione, were married until Joseph Lester, aka Lester, died in 1976. She was a loving mother and grandmother to four grandchildren.
