BWW Interview: Emmy-Winner Joe Spano Always Returning To His Theatrical Roots
The Laguna Playhouse will be streaming a virtual staged reading of D.L. Coburn’s Pulitzer Prize-winning drama, THE GIN GAME February 14 through February 16, 2021. Jenny Sullivan directs this much-produced two-hander with a pair of very juicy acting roles for Joe Spano and JoBeth Williams as two nursing home residents.

Cole Theatre's Inaugural Production, ECSTASY, Begins Tonight
Mike Leigh connoisseur Shade Murray, who directed the Jeff Award-winning Abigail's Party for A Red Orchid in 2010, will direct Cole Theatre's inaugural production, Mike Leigh's Ecstasy. The production will star Boyd Harris, Maura Kidwell, Layne Manzer, Lauren Pizzi, Michaela Petro and Joel Reitsma.
Cole Theatre to Present Mike Leigh's ECSTASY, 8/21-9/28
The newly formed Equity Cole Theatre presents its inaugural production, Mike Leigh's Ecstasy, running August 21-September 28 in Old Town. An intensely naturalistic and darkly comic portrait of gloom and joy, violence and romance, Ecstasy is the story of six sharply drawn characters and their struggle against despair one evening in a run-down London flat. The production stars Boyd Harris, Maura Kidwell, Layne Manzer, Lauren Pizzi, Michaela Petro and Joel Reitsma. ImprovBoston Announces Staff Changes
ImprovBoston recognized its past and took a bold step toward the future this morning as the company made two big artistic announcements. Current Artistic Director Will Luera will transition to Artistic Director Emeritus and the theater is welcoming its first full-time Artistic Director, Michael Descoteaux. The transitions will begin effective October 1 and Descoteaux will begin his new position full time on January 1, 2013.
Sea Tea Improv Announces 'Beginners' 'Character' and 'Second Beat' Fall 2012 Classes
As part of its educational offerings, Sea Tea Improv will be teaching two levels of improv courses to the public this fall. For the first time, this swift-growing professional theater company will be offering an Intro to Improv workshop, a Foundation-Level course called 'The Character,' and a Focus-Level course about 'Second Beats.' The courses will each be taught by a founding member of the acclaimed Hartford-based improvisational theater company. All classes will be held at Sea Tea Improv's brand-new studio space: 75 Pratt St, 5th floor, Room 512, in Hartford, Conn.

Caldwell Theatre Announces New 'Club Caldwell' With Avery Sommers Sept 25, 2010
