NORD HAUSEN FLY ROBOT to Play The Brick in November
NORD HAUSEN FLY ROBOT is an investigation by Gemini CollisionWorks (Ian W. Hill: Arts/Berit Johnson: Crafts) into a 55-page anonymous online comment left on a political website that at first seems nothing more than an incomprehensible, stream-of-consciousness tirade, but on repeated examination suggests a poetic, albeit confused, summary of US History post-WWII from a marginalized voice - making it part 3 in GCW's Invisible Republic series, following 2006's That's What We're Here For and 2008's Everything Must Go.

Brick Theater Presents THE COMIC BOOK THEATER FESTIVAL ISSUE #2, Now thru 6/29
Comics are sometimes called 'sequential art' - stories that unfold across time over the course of multiple images. This definition also applies to the art of theater - and with so much in common, it makes sense that the two should team up. After a successful first installment in 2011, the Comic Book Theater Festival is coming back to The Brick for 'Issue #2' in June 2014. Get ready for a new crop of shows that explore the intersection of the panel and the stage, the live and the drawn, the ink and the actor.
