BIO

A mezzo-soprano, Nicholls sang with the Lydian Singers and the Southernaires before attending school in England where she majored in opera with a minor in piano. Following her graduation from the National Opera Studio, she joined the Glyndebourne Opera Company in Sussex, England, where she performed until 1990. She then sang with various touring companies performing in the Portugal, Syria, and the United Kingdom.

Almeida Theater Company Announces Summer Programs

For its annual summer festival of contemporary opera, music and theatre, the Almeida Theatre will present a programme which includes the London premiere of An Ocean of Rain, a specially commissioned opera by Yannis Kyriakides and Daniel Danis, the European premiere of Adam Rapp's Nocturne and British African Theatre Company Tiata Fahodzi's first week long residency at the Almeida.
