Born in Blackburn, Lancashire, known as Blackburn's own Boy soprano in the late 30's and early 40's As a baritone in the 50's won several 1st's at Music Festivals around the area including the Rose Bowl at the Blackburn Music Festival in 1954 sponsored by the then Northern Daily Telegraph. Turned professional in 1955 in Summer Show in Morecambe and joined the Fol-de-Rols famous company in 1956. Did the Royal Variety Command Performance with them in 1960. 1963 was in the original West End Production of On the Town, singing the opening Workman's Song and playing the part of Professor Figment. 1964 became lead singer at the Lido Night Club in the Champs Elysees. Did British Old Time Music Hall in Connecticut in the USA Produced Shows in Scarborough at the Spa Theatre in the North of England. Now living in London with his wife Kay Carman and still performing shows and also with his wife do shows in Hospitals and Homes and Day Centres taking with them a Keyboard and playing for each other.
