EbzB Productions, Inc, has been chosen by the North Carolina Literary and Historical Association, North Carolina's venerated and oldest civic organization, as the winner of the 2017 Hardee-Rives Award For Dramatic Arts. This award is presented in recognition of excellent, exemplary work in and significant contribution and service to the dramatic arts in North Carolina.

Auditions may be over and all shows have been cast, but after five successful seasons, Hot Summer Nights at the Kennedy has decided to add a little audience participation to the opening show of their sixth season; the Neil Simon comedic classic, Barefoot in the Park (June 9-20).

Clay Aiken attended a production of DRIFT last night at The Kennedy Theatre in Raleigh where Hot Summer Nights at the Kennedy's production of DRIFT is playing it's final week. DRIFT was the first production to grace the new Lauren Kennedy and Alan Campbell Theatre at Barton College and ran from September 12-20, followed by a current run at The Kennedy Theatre at the Progress Energy Center for the Performing Arts in Raleigh from September 23-27 to close the season.
