The Beautiful City Project's OSCAR NIGHT was an evening of songs that have won the coveted award of 'Best Song' at the Oscars, and paid tribute to the numerous organizations that TBCP have raised funds an awareness for over the past year. Hosted by Stephen Schellhardt & Devin DeSantis, the show featured performances across a span of 9 decades, and included top Chicago musical theatre talent, a 12-piece orchestra, and 12-person choir.
BUT IT'S A SCHOOL NIGHT!, Hosted By Sawyer Smith Will Raise Funds For Downstage Arts
The Beautiful City Project has announced the cast of its second College Edition of its cabaret series, BUT IT'S A SCHOOL NIGHT!, with proceeds to benefit Downstage Arts, a Chicago organization removing the barriers for pre-college MT training. The show's cast will feature students from Roosevelt University's Chicago College of Performing Arts, along with a few Guest Artists.

THE CHRISTMAS FOUNDLING, by Norman Allen, is the story of a 10-year old boy who was found as an infant in the California Sierras by two Gold Rush miners one Christmas Eve. The men raised him as their child, but his idyllic life is interrupted when an aunt unexpectedly arrives with the intention of taking the boy to Boston to receive a formal education. The production is playing in the Pride Arts Center's intimate Buena Theatre at 4147 N. Broadway, through Sunday, January 5, 2020.

More than 1.5 million people have experienced Goodman Theatre's family-favorite, A Christmas Carol, 'one of Chicago's treasured Christmas traditions' (Theatermania), now returning for the 41st year. Under Artistic Associate Henry Wishcamper's direction for the sixth year, the annual production 'remains the greatest seasonal story of all' (Chicago Tribune) and features Chicago actor Larry Yando, who leads the 26-member cast as the irascible businessman Ebenezer Scrooge. Joining Yando is Paris Strickland, who reprises her role as Tiny Tim for the second year. One Christmas Eve, Scrooge is visited by four ghosts who take him on a spectacular adventure through his past, present and future, helping him rediscover the joys of life, love and friendship.
