Albuquerque Little Theatre (ALT) has come a long way since its inception in 1930. The group that founded the theatre was led by a local reporter and society editor for the New Mexico Tribune, Irene Fisher.

Six unemployed steelworkers in Buffalo, New York are miserable. They have no cash and no prospects. Meanwhile, they catch their wives and other women going crazy over male strippers. The six men then set out to make some quick cash showing off their 'real man' bodies by becoming a team of male strippers. As the guys work through their fears, self-consciousness and anxieties, they find strength as a group and overcome their inner demons. The Full Monty is an uplifting, crowd-pleasing romp that leaves little to the imagination! THE FULL MONTY is bares it all with a cast full of Albuquerque locals! Matt Campbell will be playing Jerry, Brandon McDaniel is Dave, John Shelton is Harold, Austin Embree is Malcolm, Nicholas Laemmer as Ethan, and Hasani Olujimi is Noah (Horse). Deloris Van Cartier is an aspiring singer in Philadelphia, where she is auditioning to perform at her gangster boyfriend's nightclub. Deloris believes that Curtis is going to introduce her to a big producer, but is upset when he tells her she is not ready. Hurt and rejected, Deloris decides to break up with him, but when she goes to find him she accidentally sees him kill one of his cronies. Deloris runs to the police, who place her in hiding at a convent until Curtis is brought to trial.

Albuquerque Little Theatre will open their 86th season with the laugh-a-minute, screwball comedy ARSENIC AND OLD LACE by Joseph Kesselring. The show revolves around the Brewster family, descended from the 'Mayflower,' but now composed of insane homicidal maniacs. The hero, Mortimer Brewster, is a drama critic who must deal with his crazy family and local police in Brooklyn, NY, as he debates whether to go through with his recent promise to marry the woman he loves. His family includes two spinster aunts who have taken to murdering lonely old men, a brother who believes he is Theodore Roosevelt and digs locks for the Panama Canal in the cellar of the Brewster home, and a murderous brother who has received plastic surgery to conceal his identity and now looks like horror-film actor Boris Karloff. Classic farce at its best!!
Albuquerque Little Theatre to Present SPAMALOT
Lovingly ripped off from the classic film comedy Monty Python and the Holy Grail, SPAMALOT retells the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table, and features a bevy of beautiful showgirls, not to mention cows, killer rabbits and French people. Did we mention the bevy of beautiful showgirls? The 2005 Broadway production received 14 Tony Award nominations, winning three including 'Best Musical'. A perfect finale to ALT's 85th season!
