Broadway veteran, actress/singer/dancer is also an award-winning writer and director, and the newest member of the hit series,"The Misadventures of the Awkward Black Girl". Ms. Wright joins the production as the mother (Gladys). Ms. Wright was discovered and brought to New York to co-star with Ruby Dee and Ossie Davis in "Zora! Is My Name", where she was spotted by renowned producer, Philip Rose, who cast her in his Broadway production of "Amen Corner: The Musical". She has gone onto garner national and international acclaim. Ms. Wright continues to study and teach the next generation of 'triple threats', while maintaining her 4-octave vocal range, studying at the 'Grabscheid Center' for the professional voice with Dr.Dan McCabe.
Ms. Wright recently joined the cast of the hit series, "Misadventures of Awkward Black Girl". July 2012. She will be playing the recurring role of Awkward Black Girl's mother.
