Premiere Stages will celebrate its 11th Anniversary as Kean University's professional Equity theatre with a dynamic lineup of events, featuring a season of topical plays that focus on people of the region, both past and present. Premiere Stages Teams with The Provident Bank Foundation for Elizabeth Playwriting Residency
Premiere Stages, the professional theatre company in residence at Kean University, is partnering with The Provident Bank Foundation to offer an innovative seven-week, in-school playwriting residency this spring at the Terence C. Reilly School No. 7 located in Elizabeth. The residency, which affords twenty-one 7th grade students with access to professional actors and teaching artists, is held in partnership with William Culp, a history teacher at the school.
Westfield Foundation to Fund Playwriting Residency for Senior Citizens
Premiere Stages, the professional theatre company in residence at Kean University, has announced its first playwriting residency for senior citizens, funded by the Westfield Foundation. This is the third Premiere Stages pilot program the Westfield Foundation has funded, having provided previous support for the launch of the now successful Camp Premiere for high school students, as well as for the launch of Liberty Live, which is entering its third year.

Premiere Stages Announces Play Factory Performances for Kids
Premiere Stages at Kean University will partner with two renowned touring theatres for young audiences for its 2013 Play Factory Series, an annual performance series designed specifically for children. This year, Premiere Stages will present Yates Musical Theatre's The Wizard of Oz on Wednesday, July 17 at 10:00 a.m. and Pushcart Players' captivating take on Cinderella, Happily Ever After, on Wednesday, July 24 at 10:00 a.m. in Kean University's spacious Wilkins Theatre.
