The Springfield Chamber Players Clarinet Quintet Opens 2024-25 Season at 52 Sumner Next Month
The Springfield Chamber Players will launch its 2024-25 season with a performance by the Springfield Chamber Players Clarinet Quintet. The first of a six-concert series will be on Saturday, October 26, at 8:00 PM at 52 Sumner. Springfield's newest performance venue is on the corner of Sumner Avenue at Fort Pleasant Avenue in Springfield, MA.

Cellist Clarice Jensen, artistic director of the American Contemporary Music Ensemble (ACME), releases her debut solo album, For this from that will be filled, worldwide on Miasmah Recordings on April 6, 2018. She celebrates the release with a concert featuring music from the album presented by the Ambient Church Series on April 7, 2018 at 8pm (doors 7pm), at Bushwick Methodist Church (1139 Bushwick Ave.). The Ambient Church concert also celebrates the release of electronic artist Christina Vantzou's new album, No. 4, and includes the American Contemporary Music Ensemble (ACME), Steve Hauschildt, Deradoorian, John Also Bennett, and C. Lavender.

Highlights include a roster of superb soloists (pianist Jeffrey Biegel, jazz pianist Ted Rosenthal, and cellist Inbal Segev,) insightful programs spanning music from Beethoven through Bartók, and a new concert format where the audience sits among the players of the orchestra for a performance of Beethoven's Fifth Symphony.
