Harrison Chad is a young actor on the move. He has made quite an extraordinary name for himself by already starring in four Broadway shows. Harrison recently performed the entire run of Tony Kushner and Jeanine Tesori's Broadway critical hit CAROLINE, OR CHANGE, directed by George C. Wolfe, playing the lead of Noah Gellman opposite Tonya Pinkins. His other Broadway credits included staring in LES MISERABLES as Gavroche, in DISNEY'S BEAUTY AND THE BEAST as Chip and also appeared in the Tony nominated musical PETER PAN starring Cathy Rigby. He is also a member of the BROADWAY KIDS.
Everyday Harrison's voice can be heard on NICK and CBS in the NICKELODEON JR. show, DORA THE EXPLORER, as the voice of Boots the monkey. He can also be heard in the new animated feature CHARLOTTE'S WEB 2, as Cardigan the lamb. In June 2005, DISNEY animation will release the new feature TARZAN 2, with Harrison starring as the voice of Tarzan.
Harrison's face is also no stranger to television. He has been a guest star on the television show ED on NBC. He has appeared on the televisions shows THE DAVID LETTERMAN SHOW, SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE, AS THE WORLD TURNS, THE TODAY SHOW, THE ROSIE O'DONNELL SHOW, and as a trophy bearer for the 2001 TONY AWARDS. For SHOWTIME Harrison was seen in the film CARRY ME HOME, directed by Jace Alexander and for COMEDY CENTRAL Harrison appeared in a supporting role in THE HEBREW HAMMER, starring Adam Goldberg and Andy Dick.
For the big screen, Harrison can bee seen in the feature MESSENGERS, directed by Philip Farha, currently screening at film festivals around the country. Also Harrison can be seen in the film SHOW BUSINESS, directed by Dori Berinstein, screening at the 2005 Tribeca Film Festival.
When Harrison is not working he is always happy to take part in workshops and screenplay readings. Harrison has worked with such names as Tom Aldredge, Michael Arden, Laura Benanti, Kate Burton, Charles Busch, Carolee Carmello, Len Cariou, Darius De Haas, Polly Draper, Gregg Edelman, Max von Essen, Norm Lewis, Sean McCourt, Terrence Mann, Cameron Mathison, Julia Murney, Rosie O'Donnell, Billy Porter, Tony Roberts, Emily Skinner, John Tartaglia, and Ben Vereen just to name a few.
One of Harrison's career highlights has been the opportunity of singing the National Anthem before major sporting events. Harrison has sang at many local and national ball clubs including, Madison Square Garden before New York Knicks games and Shea Stadium before New York Mets games, just to name a few.
When not performing, Harrison enjoys soccer, hockey, basketball, and baseball, as well as telling funny stories, singing, and dancing. Harrison is truly a delight.
