Southwestern University Presents A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM
Southwestern University's Sarofim School of Fine Arts' Theatre Department is excited to present the Tony Award winning musical A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. In this classic piece of musical theatre, the lives of three neighbors in Ancient Rome are intertwined when two members of opposite households fall in love but cannot be together. Pseudolos, a crafty slave determined to live his life as a free man, offers to join the two lovers together in exchange for his freedom. Hilarity ensues as Pseudolos and the lovers try to succeed in creating their own happy endings. Note production includes Mature Content.
Barrington Stage Company Launches National New Play Contest; Deadline This April!
Barrington Stage Company (BSC), the award-winning theatre in Downtown Pittsfield, MA under the leadership of Artistic Director Julianne Boyd, announced today the creation of The Bonnie and Terry Burman New Play Award, a national new play contest. The Grand Prize winner will receive $25,000 from Barrington Stage Company. Submissions are being accepted now through April 30, 2018.

Barrington Stage Company (BSC), the award-winning theatre in Downtown Pittsfield, MA, under the leadership of Artistic Director Julianne Boyd, will host its annual New York City Benefit, BSC/NYC, on Monday, November 13, 2017, to celebrate their New Works Initiative and honor composer Joe Iconis with the William Finn Award for Innovation and Excellence in Musical Theatre.
