Belgrade Presents World Premiere Of FIGHTING IRISH This April
As Coventry UK City of Culture 2021 enters its final four months, the Belgrade Theatre is thrilled to be producing the world premiere of Fighting Irish. The new drama based on a true story from Coventry writer Jamie McGough runs in B2 from Sat 2 – Sat 16 April.

Belgrade Theatre Announces Spring 2022 Season
The Belgrade Theatre has announced details of the first shows in its Spring Season from March to July 2022. Featuring The Bone Sparrow as part of their Coventry UK City of Culture 2021 programme, an adaptation of George Orwell's classic satirical story Animal Farm, and the world premiere of Fighting Irish, co-directed by the Belgrade's Artistic Director, Hamish Glen, and Co-Artistic Director for 2021, Corey Campbell, from Coventry writer Jamie McGough.
David Shortland Steps Down From the Belgrade
This summer, David Shortland has stepped down from all formal roles at the Belgrade Theatre after 20 years’ service. A former Chairman of the Board, David Shortland has played a vital role in the regeneration and development of the Belgrade and will remain one of the Theatre’s Ambassadors.

Belgrade Theatre Celebrates 10 Years of B2
The Belgrade Theatre has hosted an anniversary party to celebrate 10 years of its B2 auditorium this September. Special guests were invited to join Belgrade staff for a glass of fizz and a slice of cake in celebration of B2's 10th birthday, as well as hearing from speakers including Artistic Director Hamish Glen, Associate Director Justine Themen and Coventry's Lord Mayor, Tony Skipper.
