Gregory Jacobs-Roseman (Book, Music, Lyrics) is a musical theatre composer/lyricist and theatrical sound designer living in New York City. His songs have been performed at the Goodspeed Opera House, at Barrington Stage as part of William Finn’s revue: Ridiculously Talented Composers and Lyricists You Probably Don't Know But Should, at Graham-A-Rama in Sacramento, CA, and across venues in Boston and New York City. His revue Cold Turkey: The Songs of Gregory Jacobs-Roseman made its debut in June 2008 at the Laurie Beechman Theatre in New York. His musical revue Party Like Me was produced by the New York Theatre Barn in 2010 as part of their NYTB in the D-Lounge series, and he wrote the title opening number for Why Can't I? for the Emerson College installment of New York Theatre Barn's college series at the Duplex. His shows Auld Lang Syne and Class Of received workshop performances at Emerson College in Boston. Other recent projects include: Chase (with composer Russell Stern), Hammurabi’s Code: A Postmodern Comic Opera, and Preludes on Beacon Hill. He composed original music for the plays Follow Me Down (Aporia Theater), Anna’s Perfect Party, Meetmarket.com (Looking Glass Theatre), Almost, Maine (The Barrow Group Arts Complex), and a production of William Inge's A Loss Of Roses at Earlham College in Indiana. Past FringeNYC credits: Series 6.2: Paint on Canvas (2009, Sound Designer). Greg holds a B.A. in Musical Theatre and Composition from Emerson College in Boston, and an M.F.A. in Musical Theatre Writing from the NYU Tisch Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program.
