Mabou Mines today has announced a group of multidisciplinary artists whose work affirms the company’s 51-year history of collaboration and experimentation. Co-Artistic Directors Karen Kandel, Sharon Ann Fogarty, Mallory Catlett, and Carl Hancock Rux welcome new Associate Artists and members in a new category: Senior Artistic Associates.

It would be nice to be able take in The Wooster Group's intriguing docu-theatre piece, THE TOWN HALL AFFAIR, as a look at the grotesquely blatant brand sexism of nearly 50 years ago that we have since outgrown. Sadly, this glimpse at a carnival-like event disguised as a serious debate on the subject of, as it was known at the time, women's lib, is likely to remind audience members of current headlines.

The Wooster Group to Premiere New Works at St. Ann's This Spring
St. Ann's Warehouse, which has long provided a second New York home for The Wooster Group, will present two new works by the company this spring: the New York Premiere of Cry, Trojans! (Troilus & Cressida), March 24 - April 19; and a remounting of Early Shaker Spirituals: A Record Album Interpretation, April 23 - May 4. Both runs are strictly limited and cannot be extended. The upcoming engagement marks both The Wooster Group's first performances at the St. Ann's Warehouse interim theater at 29 Jay Street in DUMBO, and St. Ann's final presentation in the space, before the organization moves to its permanent home in the historic Tobacco Warehouse in Brooklyn Bridge Park this fall.

While construction continues and St. Ann's works to raise the final $2 million of its $30 million capital campaign, the organization will present a stellar final season in its temporary home at 29 Jay Street in DUMBO. It kicks off this October when TR Warszawa and director Grzegorz Jarzyna return for the American Premiere of their internationally acclaimed production of Sarah Kane's 4:48 Psychosis, which St. Ann's Founder / Artistic Director Susan Feldman has wanted to bring to New York since she first saw it in February 2004 -- the same year St. Ann's presented the American Premiere of the original Royal Court production of Kane's play. St. Ann's Warehouse also announced the following season highlights today: Emma Rice and Kneehigh, The Wooster Group, the Slovenian choral group Carmina Slovenica, and The Tiger Lillies.
PEN World Voices International Play Festival and More Set for Martin E. Segal Theatre Center's Spring 2014 Season
The Martin E. Segal Theatre Center at the CUNY Graduate Center has announced its SPRING 2014 season of public programs. The season includes the Center's inaugural PEN World Voices International Play Festival, featuring 9 free readings of plays from around the globe, including HAITI, JAPAN, TUNISIA, CHILE, POLAND, AUSTRALIA, SINGAPORE, AUSTRIA and INDIA. The season also features 11 free public programs throughout the spring, featuring contemporary theatre and performing artists from around the world.
Wooster Group's CRY, TROJANS! (TROILUS & CRESSIDA) Opens Tonight
The Wooster Group is currently developing its work CRY, TROJANS! (Troilus & Cressida) in preview performances at The Performing Garage (33 Wooster Street). The Group will celebrate the official premiere tonight, February 27, with the show running through March 9 at REDCAT in Los Angeles.
