The Broadway Dreams Foundation (BDF), in partnership with the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, returns to Philadelphia for a weeklong musical theater intensive, August 2-9, during which Philadelphia's most promising performers will receive unprecedented instruction from the industry's top directors, choreographers and professionals. To conclude the weeklong intensive, BDF will present GENERATION, a unique Broadway-style revue featuring performances by Broadway veterans and emerging local talent.

The Broadway Dreams Foundation (BDF) will give aspiring performers across the country their "big break" when the program embarks on Generation: The 2015 Summer Intensive Tour. The national non-profit training program will present an incredible roster of Broadway directors, performers, and industry insiders who will offer highly personalized musical theatre training and mentoring through unique, week-long performing arts intensive workshops for students of all ages, skill levels, and socio-economic backgrounds.
Mamie Gummer, Boyd Gaines & More Join OUR CLASS Staged Reading During Holocaust Remembrance Week
Following critically-acclaimed runs at London's National Theater and Philadelphia's The Wilma Theater along with recognition in Israel and throughout Europe, The Temple Emanu-El Skirball Center and the Polish Cultural Institute New York present a one-night-only staged reading of Our Class by Tadeusz S?obodzianek. The cast includes Emmy, Oscar and Tony-winner Ellen Burstyn; Obie winner Alvin Epstein; Tony-nominee Boyd Gaines; Mamie Gummer (The Good Wife, Emily Owens, M.D.); Randy Harrison (Queer as Folk); Grant Kretchik; Obie winner Brian Murray; John Pankow (Episodes, Mad About You); Obie winner Austin Pendleton. The staged reading is directed by Cosmin Chivu and includes original music by Jesse Selengut performed by Tatiana Eva-Marie (vocal), Marius Mihalache (cimbalom) and Stefan Zeniuk (clarinet). Previously announced performers, Nina Arianda, Kim Cattrall and Hunter Parrish, are no longer available to participate in the reading.
Pace School of Performing Arts to Launch Los Angeles Intensive for Acting, Dance & Choreography for Film
The Pace School of Performing Arts (PPA) today announced a first-of-its-kind, three-week intensive course in Los Angeles for undergraduate students in Acting, Dance and Choreography for film. The program, which engages industry experts to help students prepare for the profession, is part of Pace School of Performing Arts' ongoing commitment to be the first in the United States dedicated to bi-coastal training in the performing arts. It will occur every year as a regular part of PPA's program.

Pace University Launches School of Performing Arts - NYC's First Performing Arts School in 50 Years
Pace University today officially unveils its new School of Performing Arts, Manhattan's first performing arts school in nearly 50 years. The newly minted Pace School of Performing Arts (PPA) began as the university's flourishing Performing Arts department, which over the last three years has experienced unprecedented growth in applications and enrollment. To accommodate this leap in reputation and popularity, Pace Performing Arts moved into the 50,000 square foot building at 140 William Street in downtown Manhattan.

The Philadelphia intensive at the Kimmel Center for Performing Arts will include master classes devoted to mastering the college audition process led by Mary Anna Dennard, top college audition coach and author of 'I Got In!' Joining Dennard will be representatives from top musical theatre schools including, Kaitlin Hopkins (Texas State University), Grant Kretchik (Pace University, Dyson College), Robin Lewis (Rider University), Barbara MacKenzie-Wood (Carnegie Mellon University), Mark Madama (University of Michigan), and Amy Rogers (Pace University).
