Grant was born in Toledo, Ohio and grew up in Erie, Michigan. Grant Graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Oakland University in Rochester Michigan. Grant Lives in Chicago with his partner Michael DeChant, and is an owner of a VIntage Clothing Shop in the Ravenswood Neighborhood of Chicago called "Outskirts Vintage".
