New Kids Cast Joins West End's SCHOOL OF ROCK
Before school's out this February half term, Andrew Lloyd Webber announces that later this month (24 February 2018) he will welcome a new group of kids to his Olivier award-winning production of School of Rock - The Musical. Continuing in the West End at the New London Theatre, School of Rock - The Musical is currently booking to 13 January 2019. In October this year an Australian production will open at Her Majesty's Theatre in Melbourne, a Broadway production continues at the Winter Garden Theatre and the US national touring production is currently booking to September 2018.

Clarinetist Joseph Morris Named Winner of 2017 Ima Hogg Competition
The Houston Symphony announces clarinetist Joseph Morris as the winner of the 42nd annual Ima Hogg Competition, one of a few annual nationwide multi-instrument competitions. The announcement was made in front of a live audience on Saturday, June 3, after the finals concert at Rice University's Stude Concert Hall.

Performing Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto in E Minor, violinist and Rice University Shepherd School of Music alumna Luke Hsu won the 41st annual Houston Symphony Ima Hogg Competition Saturday, June 4, at Rice University's Stude Concert Hall. Hsu's first place win earned her a gold medal, a $25,000 prize and a solo performance at Jones Hall with the Houston Symphony at the final concert of Day of Music at 7:30 p.m. July 9.

Moran Katz Wins Houston Symphony's 2013 Ima Hogg Competition
Performing Mozart's Clarinet Concerto in A major, 28-year old Israeli clarinetist Moran Katz won the 38th annual Houston Symphony League's Ima Hogg Competition on Saturday, June 1 at Rice University's Stude Concert Hall. Katz's first place win earned her a Gold Medal, the solo spotlight at Jones Hall with the Houston Symphony at the Houston Chronicle Concert on July 13 and the Grace Woodson Memorial Award of $25,000. The cash prize was increased from $5,000 to $25,000 in this year's competition, thanks to a generous gift of Symphony patrons John and Tracy Dennis. In addition to the top prize, Katz also won the $1,000 Herman Shoss Audience Choice Award and the $1,000 Robert and Nancy Peiser Award for Artistic Encouragement, which was selected by members of the Houston Symphony.
