As the National Theatre’s acclaimed production of The Ocean at the End of the Lane opens at The Duke of York’s Theatre in the West End, a final three-week extension is announced. Due to popular demand, the first major stage adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s work will now run until 14 May 2022.

Neil Gaiman’s book The Ocean at the End of the Lane is bewitching. It holds a deep pull for people of all ages, who find common ground in it. It’s an incredible feat to take everything that the novel is and translate its feeling and atmosphere for the stage. Writer Joel Horwood and director Katy Rudd achieve the impossible.
Directors And Cast Announced For Debut Plays At Edinburgh Fringe
BBC Arts and Avalon announce today the casting and directors for DEBUT - a unique new initiative enabling four professional creatives - Bim Adewunmi, Katherine Parkinson, Beryl Richards and Frank Skinner - who have never written for the stage before to create their debut play. All four plays will be directed by emerging directors giving a new generation of talent an opportunity to direct a play at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2018.
BWW Review: DR JEKYLL & MR HYDE, Rose Theatre
Robert Louis Stevenson's gothic thriller has had such an impact on the public psyche that a reference to 'Jekyll and Hyde' is universally known as referring to a person with a dual personality. An adaptation at Kingston's Rose Theatre attempts to convey the dark horror of the story where upright Dr Jekyll's secret experiments split his personality in two and reveal the murderous Mr Hyde. Unfortunately, the shocking impact of the story is lost in this overly long and un-engaging adaptation.
Casting Announced For UK Tour of DR JEKYLL & MR HYDE
Touring Consortium Theatre Company and Rose Theatre Kingston today announce the full company for Robert Louis Stevenson's Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde adapted for the stage by David Edgar. Joining the previously announced Phil Daniels as Jekyll/Hyde are Rosie Abraham (Lucy/Maid/Singer), Sam Cox (Poole), Polly Frame (Katherine Urquart), Anyebe Godwin (Charles), Ben Jones (Lanyon/Carew), Robin Kingsland (Gabriel John Utterson), Grace Hogg-Robinson (Annie Loder) and Matthew Romain (Enfield/Parson).
