Giant Food Designates USO of Metropolitan Washington-Baltimore as Beneficiary of Giant National Capital Barbecue Battle

Returning for its third year as the title sponsor of the annual Giant National Capital Barbecue Battle, Giant Food is proud to announce that this year's event will once again support the USO of Metropolitan Washington-Baltimore (USO-Metro). Giant Food will be raising donation funds in-store starting Memorial Day, May 28, in addition to donating proceeds from the Barbecue Battle, one of D.C.'s largest food festivals, welcoming over 100,000 fans annually and taking place on Saturday, June 23 rd and Sunday, June 24 th.

Each year, the US Open Wheelchair Tournament hosts a fun evening for players before competition starts. This year, 12 wheelchair athletes took in the Broadway show Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. In addition to seeing the show, the athletes got to meet five members of the cast, including Amy Quanbeck, Cory Lingner, Joshua Bergasse, Alan H. Green and Mikey Winslow. Scroll down for photos!
Ordway to Present BROADWAY SONGBOOG: COMDEN AND GREEN, 6/13-15

The Ordway Center for the Performing Arts' Broadway Songbook series returns June 13-15 with a tribute to Betty Comden and Adolph Green, who co-wrote some of the most beloved and successful Hollywood musicals and Broadway shows in the mid-20th century. Seating for Broadway Songbook: Comden and Green is on the Ordway's Music Theater Stage, providing a unique backstage experience.
