At a press conference held at Meridian Hall, the Toronto Alliance for the Performing Arts (TAPA) announced 228 nominations for the 43rd Annual Dora Mavor Moore Awards, which recognize excellence in professional theatre, dance and opera in Toronto for the 2022-2023 season. Also announced at the press conference was the recipient of the Province of Ontario’s Pauline McGibbon Award.

Inspired by Charles Spearin's Juno award winning album, The Happiness Project and the work of Studs Terkel and Anna Deavere Smith, KARIE RICHARDS presents THE GHOST PROJECT. This is an engaging documentary theatre solo production based on a series of verbatim monologues crafted from the interviews of thirteen individuals who have experienced mysterious and ghostly encounters. THE GHOST PROJECT is written and performed by KARIE RICHARDS, with original direction by Jeff Culbert, original music by John Sheard, and production design by Glenn Davidson. On stage from January 21 to January 26 at The Theatre Centre.

At a press conference held May 28 in the Davies Takacs Lobby of the Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre, the Toronto Alliance for the Performing Arts (TAPA) announced 282 nominations for the 40th Anniversary Dora Mavor Moore Awards, which recognize excellence in professional theatre, dance and opera in Toronto. On Tuesday, June 25 at the Sony Centre for the Performing Arts, 49 Dora Mavor Moore Awards, the Silver Ticket Award and the Jon Kaplan Audience Choice Award will be presented.

An imaginative multimedia concert, Tafelmusik's House of Dreams takes the audience on a journey through five homes in five European cities where, in the 17th and 18th centuries, exquisite works by Bach, Handel, Vivaldi, and Marais were performed in intimate settings against a backdrop of private collections of paintings by Vermeer, Canaletto, and Watteau. With narration, projected images of the paintings and homes, and music dynamically performed from memory, House of Dreams recreates the concert experience at the intersection of Baroque music and art.
