Soko's Upcoming Third Album Set For June 12 Release Date
French singer, songwriter, actress SOKO has announced the upcoming release of her third full-length album, titled Feel Feelings, on June 12 via Because / Babycat Records. Paired with the announcement, the artist - and César-nominated actress - released a new song and video titled 'Are You A Magician?' directed by Gia Coppola. The visuals see SOKO magically bringing a stuffed animal to life and creating a picture-perfect life with her new companion only to have her creation ghost her. The song deals with the projection of one's fantasies of the perfect relationship onto someone you barely know, and of course, the disillusion of the harsh reality that comes with it.
Devonte Hynes To Release Original Motion Picture Score for QUEEN & SLIM
Songwriter, composer, director, and visual artist Devonté Hynes -- best known under his moniker Blood Orange -- will release the original motion picture score for the highly anticipated forthcoming film, Queen & Slim, this Friday, November 22 on Domino. We The Women Collective's workshop production of Steph Del Rosso's Fill Fill Fill Fill Fill Fill Fill premiered at the Los Angeles Theater Center this past weekend, directed by Kate Bergstrom. The cast included Jennifer Kim (Mozart in the Jungle), Will Greenberg (Wrecked), Chris Candy, Samantha Ressler (This is the End), Nathalie Love (20th Century Woman), Kevin Phillips (Notorious) & Grant Harrison. Musical guests HAIM, Miya Folick and Jessica Tonder performed over the weekend, HAIM performing on opening night. 100 of the tickets per show were allocated to Planned Parenthood Peer Advocate Students as well as other students groups like Meet Bridget & IDSA.

Recent Grammy Award-winners Third Coast Percussion return to Liquid Music with new works by two incredible musical minds: the iconic American composer Philip Glass and the pop polymath Devonte Hynes, a.k.a. Blood Orange. Glass's new work, written for Third Coast Percussion and co-commissioned by Liquid Music, is his first ever for percussion ensemble. Hynes, who has also become a Glass collaborator in recent years, brings his "dense modern pop with roots in hip-hop, R&B and NYC culture" (The Guardian) to an entirely new sound world in his piece for Third Coast Percussion.
