Photos: The Hollywood Museum Honors Fran Drescher, Michael Feinstein & Geri Jewell At The Launch Of The 2022 REAL TO REEL Exhibit

The Hollywood Museum has announced its 2022 salute to the LGBTQ+ community's contributions to the entertainment industry, it will once again present its ninth (due to the pandemic) annual 'Real to Reel: Portrayals and Perceptions of LGBTQ+ in Hollywood” exhibit in partnership with Los Angeles City Councilmember Mitch O'Farrell (CD-13).

Donelle Dadigan, Founder and President of The Hollywood Museum in partnership with Los Angeles City Councilman Mitch O'Farrell (CD13), proudly unveiled the 2019 salute to the LGBT community's contributions to the entertainment industry last night to launched Los Angeles' Gay Pride weekend festivities.

Lily Tomlin, upon accepting her award, remarked 'My partner Jane and I are honored and want to thank you for this award. It is amazing to see this whole outpouring for the LGBT community. Jane, couldnt be here tonight, but asked that I share her remarks 'We love the thought of being called Trail-Blazers. It makes us feel current and something out of Marvel Comics.'  Neither of us has a good sense of direction, so we thought being called trail-blazers implies that we somehow new where we were going. So thank you for thinking of us as trail-blazers, rather than as museum pieces.  Of course, there were times, Im afraid, we got lost on that trail and were more bewildered than blazing.  We are still blazing, but we have had to cool down a bit. After all, we need to take care not to add to global warming.'

President/Founder of The Hollywood Museum, Donelle Dadigan, along with Council Member Mitch O'Farrell and Board President Esteban Montemayor of Christopher Street West, kicked off Pride weekend with the annual 'Real to Reel' exhibit that shines the spotlight on the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBTQ) community in television and film through the decades. This year's event also feature a special recognition with The Future of Hollywood Award presented to actress Stephanie Beatriz and the Legacy Award to TONY Award winning actress, Julie Newmar.

On Friday, Nov 25th, President and Founder of The Hollywood Museum, Donelle Dadigan, hosted an eclectic and elite list of Hollywood entertainers who gathered to decorate Christmas trees at The Hollywood Museum, on the second floor surrounded by the current 'Child Stars: Then and Now Exhibit. Over 20 ornaments were signed and decorated by personalities, and in some cases entire casts, to be auctioned on ebay at http://m.ebay.com/sch/aminorconsideration0/m.html?isRefine=true&_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from=&_mwBanner=1 to raise funds for A Minor Consideration (AMC).
THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES Benefit Performances Begin This Week at Atwater Village Theatre

 A who's who of film and television stars will perform Eve Ensler's The Vagina Monologues in an intimate theatrical setting for four benefit performances only on April 30, May 1, 6 & 7 at 8pm, at the Atwater Village Theatre in Los Angeles. Produced and directed by Sheena Metal for Ensemble Studio Theatre Los Angeles, all proceeds will benefit V-Day (vday.org), A Global Movement to End Violence Against Women and Girls, and protect.org, a national pro-child, anti-crime association committed to building a powerful, nonpartisan force for the protection of children from abuse, exploitation and neglect.

Actor Brad Carter is known for his roles in "Dexter," "CSI: New York," and other series. But today, the actor/musician is fighting a degenerative condition on his right hand and is asking his fans to help him finance a music album before his condition makes it impossible for him to play music.

On Saturday, August 10th, 2013 Project Angel Food hosted its annual Angel Awards where the non-profit recognized the philanthropic accomplishments of award-winning actress Jane Lynch, star of FOX's GLEE and host of NBC's new hit "Hollywood Game Night," and Food network staple, celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis. With nearly 400 guests in attendance, it was a night to celebrate and many of Hollywood's brightest turned out to show their support for the evening's honorees and the organization which prepares and delivers over 12,000 nutritious meals every week to those with HIV/AIDS, cancer and other life threatening illnesses in Los Angeles County.
