Granddaughter of Academy Award-winning designer and theatre director Tony Walton, great-granddaughter of renowned producer and film director Mervyn LeRoy, and great-great granddaughter of Harry Warner, co-founder of Warner Brothers Studios, Georgia Warner found herself drawn to the family business, and has been acting professionally since she shared her first on-screen kiss with Geoffrey the Giraffe in a “Toys R Us” commercial at the tender age of one.
Sometimes likened to a young Elizabeth Taylor, other times to Amy Schumer, Georgia combines classic Old Hollywood strength and sensuality with the shameless goofiness of the modern character actress. Her chameleonic qualities have resulted in an eclectic career ranging from the ingénue to the leading lady to the villain to – her favorite – the plucky comic relief. She has performed on stage and screen alongside such notable actors as Alec Baldwin, Mercedes Ruehl, Harris Yulin, Martha Plimpton, Peter Boyle, Richard Kind, David Eigenberg, Elisabeth Moss, and many more.
Georgia has studied a wide variety of acting techniques at a host of schools and studios over the last twenty years, and continues her studies between professional projects whenever possible; she believes strongly in the actor’s obligation to stay sharp and practiced, and is consistently enrolled in classes of one kind or another. In addition to performing, Georgia has worked as a theatre director, acting teacher, film producer, and casting director. She is also a serious improv nerd, and you can catch her performing with her improv teams Beef Child and Good Console around NYC.
