Gurney gives us a rich portrait of artist Melissa Gardner and politician Andrew Makepeace Ladd III as they take swings and misses through decades of love letters in this evocative, funny, and bittersweet story of their lives. Spilling from page to stage, LOVE LETTERS is a testament to the power of words - capturing the complexities of two hearts inextricably bound from childhood.
BPA Shakespeare Society to Present A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, 7/9-26

Island Theatre's Ten-Minute Play Festival Set for 8/23-24 at BPA
Island Theatre's annual Ten-Minute Play Festival presents sixteen works by local playwrights over two evenings, August 23 and 24 at Bainbridge Performing Arts. Eight plays will be performed on Saturday evening, and the other eight will be performed on Sunday evening. Festival goers will be invited to vote for an audience choice award for each night. In addition, an overall festival favorite, determined by the judges, will be awarded a cash prize at the end of the festival on Sunday night.

The plays were chosen from sixty-three submissions from throughout Kitsap County and include ASSIGNED BLESSING (recipient of First Prize) by Connie Bennett, SUPER-CITIZEN AND THE PARKING SPACE (awarded Runner-Up) by Steve Palay, ADRASTEIA by Charlie Hamilton, ANASTASIA by Ned Thorne, DINNER TABLE by Robert Dalton, GINGERBREAD by Wendy J.
