BIO

5th Grade Standardized test scores told George he should pursue a career in interior design. That same year, after a widely unsuccessful go as right tackle on the Newport Fire Fighters football team, George was severely bitten by the acting bug after seeing Will Smith’s, Seven Pounds. It was then and only then when he saw his future so clearly, he was going to be an actor, like Will Smith. Fast forward 15 years George Lamar has most recently worked at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival for their 2019-2020 season, as an Acting Fellow. That season George played 2 dads, a boy, a proud teenager, and went on tour. Looking to transition into more TV/Film/Commercial work, George recently started an amateur production company, shot on iPhone, to exercise and understand the basics of filmmaking.
