Other works on the program include selections from Tan Dun's Concerto for String Orchestra and Pipa, Haydn's Cello Concerto in C Major, and Morton Gould's Tap Dance Concerto. Ms. Smith is a National Book Award-winning author, rock musician, photographer and poet.
