A favorite Players tradition that has celebrated significant cultural figures for over a century, the Pipe Night for Mr. Iconis will be held on Monday, September 9th starting at 6:30 pm at The Players, located at 16 Gramercy Park South.

A unique exhibition celebrating the centennial of Fruitlands Museum, 100 Objects, 100 Stories, 100 Years at Fruitlands Museum, will be on view in the Art Gallery and around the campus, September 6, 2014 through March 29, 2015. The exhibit will highlight not only the one hundred most popular objects in the museum's diverse collections, but also the important role that Fruitlands has played in the community during the last one hundred years. Each of the museum's five collections – the Land, the Shakers, the Transcendentalists, the Native Americans, and American Art – will be represented in this first-ever publically curated Fruitlands exhibit.
The Players to Celebrate 125th Anniversary with NYE Gala
One Hundred and Twenty-Five years ago this New Year's Eve, America's most celebrated actor, Edwin Booth gave the Deed of 16 Gramercy Park South to The Players. The Players tradition has been to read the deed in front of the Great Hall fire place echoing back to Edwin Booth and the Founding Members. This year, this tradition continues along with live music, dancing, and more festivities as The Players kicks off a new era, sharing a toast to its founders and celebrating 125 years at 'A Certain Club.'
Jenness Cortez Presents New Important Work of American Realism
DeBruyne Fine Art of Naples, Florida, will host its twelfth solo exhibition by internationally acclaimed artist Jenness Cortez. On view January 24 through March 31, 2013, "Homage to the Creative Spirit 2013," presents the next installment in a thought provoking visual conversation between the artist and the viewer. Among the many topics raised by her new American realist works of art is Cortez's heartfelt conviction that iconic images, when seen in familiar domestic settings, can inspire each of us to rediscover and revalue our own creative potential.
