New England Music Hall of Fame Announces Inaugural Induction Event
Composer Henry Purcell once said, “If music be the food of love, play on.” Music knows no race, or gender. It is one of the most powerful forces in the world, and can both inspire and heal. Owned by New England-based business Tag Team Friendship Productions LLC, the New England Music Hall of Fame was founded by ECW legend Angel Orsini, Queen of the Paranormal, Kadrolsha Ona Carole, and International award-winning filmmaker and Blues Ambassador Christopher Annino who also suffers from Asperger Syndrome. Its mission is to unite, educate, promote and preserve the integrity of New England music and the people who represent it. The board of directors is a diverse group of musicians and educators.
Brian Stokes Mitchell Will Perform at 2020 Theatre Aspen Gala
Theatre Aspen (Jed Bernstein, Producing Director) announced today that the organization's annual Gala, this year with a special 'Rockstar' theme, will be held at the Hotel Jerome in Aspen, Colorado, on Saturday, February 22, 2020. The evening will feature a special performance by two-time Tony Award, Drama Desk Award, and Outer Critics Circle Award winner Brian Stokes Mitchell (Kiss Me, Kate; Man of La Mancha; Ragtime).

The exhibition debuts two new videos - We Are Here and Fear and Loathing - the latter of which is the artist's first work produced in the United States. In addition to videos, the show will also feature photographs and sculptures. This will be Wearing's fourth solo presentation at the gallery. Guggenheim Museum Present Retrospective of Rineke Dijkstra, 6/29-10/3
From June 29 to October 3, 2012, the Guggenheim Museum will present Rineke Dijkstra: A Retrospective, an extensive midcareer survey and the first major exhibition of the artist's work organized by a North American institution. It is the most comprehensive museum exhibition of the artist's oeuvre to date.
MoMA Present 'The Original Copy: Photography of Scuptures' Exhibt, 8/1-11/1
'The Original Copy: Photography of Sculpture, 1839 to Today' presents a critical examination of the intersections between photography and sculpture, exploring how one medium informs the analysis and creative redefinition of the other. On view at The Museum of Modern Art from August 1st through November 1st, the exhibition brings together over 300 photographs, magazines, and journals, by more than 100 artists, from the dawn of modernism to the present, to look at the ways in which photography at once informs and challenges the meaning of what sculpture is. The Original Copy is organized by Roxana Marcoci, Curator, Department of Photography, The Museum of Modern Art.
MOYRA DAVEY's First Solo Exhibit Opens at Kunsthalle Thru 8/29
Moyra Davey's first solo exhibit in Europe will be at the Kunsthalle Basel June 17 through August 29 with an opening Wednesday, June 16 from 7pm-10pm. Accompanying the exhibition will be a new, fully illustrated monograph, published by Sternberg Press, with essays on Davey's work by George Baker, Bill Horrigan, Chris Kraus, and Eric Rosenberg.
