Actor and Director Everett Quinton Dies at 71

BroadwayWorld is saddened to report that actor and director Everett Quinton has died at age 71. Quinton was the founder and artistic director of the Ridiculous Theatrical Company, and appeared in several productions there.

CONQUEST OF THE UNIVERSE OR WHEN QUEENS COLLIDE which marked the birth of the The Ridiculous Theatrical Company, co-founded by the late groundbreaking playwright and performer Charles Ludlam in 1967 will return on the occasion of the play and the company's 50th anniversary with a production, starring and directed by Everett Quinton, a long-standing member of RTC who assumed leadership as Artistic Director when Mr. Ludlam died 30 years ago, in 1987.

In the Bar of a Tokyo Hotel, one of Tennessee Williams lesser known works plays for a limited run at 292 Theatre on The Lower East Side. The production was recently produced at the 2016 Tennessee Williams Theatre Festival in Provincetown, Massachusetts where it played to sold-out houses. Legendary New York actor/writer/director, Everett Quinton who is best known for his work with Ridiculous Theatrical Company, directs.
