BWW Review: Taylor and Bologna's LOVE ALLWAYS Enjoys L.A. Premiere at Gray Studios

Comprised of 10 short plays in 2 acts about the follies and foibles of love and lovers, LOVE ALLWAYS addresses the subjects of love and romance which have long provided great source material for comedy, created from the pens of two proven masters of American comedy. With busy careers in film, television and Broadway, Taylor and Bologna have defied the Hollywood odds with a marriage that's lasted 51 years (so far). And no doubt, many of the relationship stories shared must be of a very personal nature to them, or perhaps some of their closest friends!

BWW Reviews: World Premiere WILD SONGS AND NAKED SOULS Shares Literary Musings on the Obsession Called Love

In this day of instant communication, how do you feel when the person you love does not answer a text or email within an hour? Makes you wonder what that person is up to and with whom, doesn't it? So image how was it in the days when the only way to reach a loved one was by sending a letter, and then having to wait for weeks or months for a response. Certainly the most outrageous scenarios would play in your head as to what was really going on.
Don Grigware Announces His Best in LA Theatre for 2012

The choices I have made are based solely on the plays and performances that I actually saw. I cannot see all the great talent that is out there in LA; it is physically impossible, as there exist far too many theatre/cabaret performances for one person to cover. So if a choice of yours is not on my list, chances are, I did not see that play or performance...or, it just did not make the final cut. I also do not separate Equity from Equity waiver; I consider all the productions/performances I select to be of top-of-the-line quality/professionalism.
BWW Reviews: Rare Revival of I OUGHT TO BE IN PICTURES at the Falcon

Upon its premiere at the Mark Taper Forum in 1979, I Ought To Be in Pictures was clearly Neil Simon in a new light. There were less laugh-out-loud one-liners and more meaningful dialogue dealing with tattered relationships in a realistic, true-to-life manner. Mind you, he had not yet reached the level of sophistication of the Brighton Beach trilogy and Lost in Yonkers, but it was definitely a step in that direction, employing autobiographical as opposed to fictional elements as plot. Herb Tucker is... Neil Simon. In a rarely produced revival, I Ought To Be in Pictures resurfaces at the Falcon Theatre with skilled direction and a genuinely wonderful cast through November 11.
