Today, Luther Burbank Center for the Arts (LBC) announced that its annual benefit, The Art of Dessert, will return for its 17th year on Saturday, April 4, 2020 at 5:30 p.m. in the Center's Lytton Rancheria Grand Lobby (50 Mark West Springs Road in Santa Rosa). With generous support from Presenting Sponsor RBC Wealth Management, The Art of Dessert is a memorable evening offering fine dining, exceptional wines, and tantalizing desserts created by famed North Bay pastry artists. Guests will be treated to a special performance by Broadway star and author Sandra Joseph, whose legendary run as a?oeChristine Daaea?? in a?oeThe Phantom of the Operaa?? spanned 10 years and 1,300 performances, earning her the record as the longest-running leading lady in the longest running Broadway show of all time.

Buck Creek Players opens its 46th season of quality theatre with our biennial Play-A-Part Fundraiser production of Richard O'Brien's THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW, running for just four performances over one weekend. Luther Burbank Center For The Arts Receives $1 Million Gift From Joan And Mack Schwing
The Luther Burbank Memorial Foundation, the non-profit organization that owns and operates Luther Burbank Center for the Arts (LBC), today announced a $1 million commitment from Joan and Mack Schwing-long-time LBC supporters-for the multi-phase Bridge to the Future renovation project. Their gift completes the $11.5 million needed and is well-timed as the scope of upgrades and improvements nears completion. LBC will recognize this generous donation from the Schwings by renaming the Fireside Room, an intimate 1,525 square foot venue used for small gatherings, the Joan and Mack Schwing Salon.

Today, Luther Burbank Center for the Arts (LBC) announced that its annual benefit, The Art of Dessert, will return on Saturday, March 30, 2019 in the Center's Lytton Rancheria Grand Lobby (50 Mark West Springs Road in Santa Rosa). Now celebrating 16 sweet years, The Art of Dessert is an evening of fine dining and one-of-a-kind confections created by famed North Bay pastry artists. Desserts will be judged by a panel of local celebrities and will double as artistic table centerpieces and the delectable final course. The evening will also honor 2019 Arts Benefactors of the Year Sherry and Pete Swayne for their generous support and outstanding leadership.

GETTIN' THE BAND BACK TOGETHER Sets September Closing on Broadway
The producers of Broadway's Gettin' The Band Back Together, announced today that the show will close on Sunday, September 16 following the evening performance. It will have played 30 previews and 40 performances at the Belasco Theatre (111 W 44thStreet). Previews began on July 19 and the show opened on August 13.
