BIO

Gary Bernard DiNardo enjoys working on queer-oriented works, recently including Torch Song, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, and Bent. His creativity extends beyond the stage to his podcast “Sell Yourself Short” where short stories and radio plays are performed by voice actors, followed by an interview with the author. Gary’s first degree is in Theatre from the University of Pittsburgh. His second bachelors is in Nursing from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. He received his masters in Health Service Administration from Strayer University. He was a co-founder of We Thr3e Queens - a queer production company that produced online cabarets during and due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On this he both performed and interviewed guests, including Anthony Fauci, while acting as executive director of the organization.

Reston Community Players Opens 50th Season with GYPSY

It's known as one of the most classic American musicals of all time. Broadway productions have starred legends ranging from Ethel Merman, Bernadette Peters, and Patti LuPone. While, the motion picture versions were led by Merman and Bette Midler. Now, Gypsy takes the stage at Reston Community Players October 21-November 12 in an exciting opening to the company's 50th season. Loosely based on the memoirs of the famous striptease artist Gypsy Rose Lee, Gypsy focuses on the story of her mother, Rose, called "the ultimate stage mother."
