ALWAYS AND FOREVER to Play Cowles Center
To celebrate the conclusion of its 40th Anniversary Season, Illusion Theater is excited to present a concert version of its beloved musical, ALWAYS AND FOREVER, for four performances only, September 24-27, at its downtown Minneapolis theater, located on the eighth floor of the Cowles Center, 528 Hennepin Ave.

Several original cast members from the iconic Broadway premiere production of THE WIZ convened last night in honor of the show's 40th anniversary in a series of special performances. Phylicia Rashad, Andre De Shields, Dee Dee Bridgewater and more will joined to celebrate the musical in Central Park and Marcus Garvey Park with a series of special outdoor celebrations featuring song, story and dance titled THE WIZ: A CELEBRATION IN DANCE & MUSIC. Illusion Theater Extends ALWAYS AND FOREVER Thru 10/10
The crowd-pleasing ALWAYS & FOREVER keeps packing them in at the Illusion Theater. Four more performances of the popular hit musical revue, featuring Julius Collins III (Quenton Jones), Jackson Hurst (Jahmal Purdy), T. Mychael Rambo (Durius Wright) and Dennis Spears (Levi Tucker), have been added to the schedule, extending the run to October 10.

When the first production of ALWAYS & FOREVER was on stage at Illusion Theater in 1996, it played to standing-room-only crowds for more than three months. After nearly 15 years of audience requests, Illusion Theater is pleased to announce the return of the hit musical revue, created by Richard D. Thompson, Sanford Moore and Garry Q. Lewis. Always and Forever, starring original cast members T. Mychael Rambo and Dennis Spears, will run August 22-October 3, 2010, at the Illusion's 8th floor theater, 528 Hennepin Avenue, Minneapolis (previews to be held Friday and Saturday, August 20-21).
