Garrett Hershey is currently appearing in THE BOY FROM OZ, as Young Peter with Pride Film & Plays. Other roles include: MEET ME IN ST. LOUIS and DAMN YANKEES, Music on Stage; CHRISTMAS SCHOONER, as Young Karl with Tesseract; 13 THE MUSICAL, as Simon with The Ensemble at The Performer’s School; SEUSSICAL JR., FAME JR. and HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL, Lundahl Middle School; and numerous productions with Spotlight Youth Theater. He has also worked on a few commercials and student films. He is taking tap with Summers Dance Academy. He also plays the clarinet and can solve the Rubiks cube in under 2 minutes.

In 1959 Ethel Merman, the prominent musical theatre actress of her time, and David Merrick were searching for their next project. After reading an excerpt from the memoir by Gypsy Rose Lee, Merrick felt they had said project and GYPSY was born.
