Gabriel J. Fowler was born on April 9th, 2000 in Poughkeepsie, New York. He had his debut stage role as Bottom the Weaver in a local production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. However, though his mother persuaded him to, he had little interest in acting. However. he did start a YouTube channel in August of 2011, in which he made Lego reviews and stop motion videos. The channel has garnered over 950,000 views as of March, 2016.
While in seventh grade, he made a split decision to audition for his middle school's production of The Music Man, Jr. It was so sudden in fact, that he sang 'Happy Birthday' for his audition song. He got cast with the role of Olin Britt, a member of the barbershop quartet. After his performance in the show, the acting bug for him was caught.
Later that year, he was cast as Tariq the Terrible in a community theater's production of Aladdin, as well as being the understudy for Aladdin. The next year he returned to the local playhouse as Young George, Harry, and Tommy in It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play. Other prominent roles include Zach, Norm, and Jess's Dad in 29 Reasons NOT to be in a Play (2014), Chester in The Worst High School Play in the World (2014), and Officer Klein in Arsenic and Old Lace (2015).
As of late he was a stage hand for the widely praised performance of The Rocky Horror Show (2015), which broke box office records for the Sherman Playhouse. In February 2016, he performed as Demetrius in an unabridged version of A Midsummer Night's Dream. He's also been cast as Valerè in Tartuffe which opens June 8, 2016.
Aside from theater, he has recently taken steps towards building a successful career in film, along with continuing to perform on stage. He directed, produced, edited, and wrote the short film, The Sniper which was released online one December 31, 2015. He also has created, produced, acted and is a series director of the upcoming television series, Art Less. The Pilot episode was released on Tuesday, May 31st and was received mixed to positive reviews. The first season premieres September 6th, 2016. He is also in pre-production for two other short films. Daily and Silent Night, a World War Two drama, which he is writing and directing.
