Berkeley's Aurora Theatre Company presents a special limited engagement of OLGA A Farewell Concert, a piece created by Beth Wilmurt (The Letters, The Eccentricities of a Nightingale, Jack Goes Boating, Bosoms and Neglect, and Salome) and Her Band. The piece is commissioned by Aurora as part of the company's Originate + Generate (O+G) new works initiative to promote the creation of forward-looking theater. OLGA A Farewell Concert plays a limited run in the company's second stage and cabaret performance space, Harry's UpStage.

ODC to Present 9th Home Season of Hope Mohr Dance, 6/9-11
ODC Theater will present the ninth home season of Hope Mohr Dance, a company esteemed for its 'rigorous conceptual approach to fundamental questions about the body in space and time' (Dance View Times). A company-in-residence at ODC, Hope Mohr Dance will perform a double bill featuring the world premiere of Manifesting, a dance theater work inspired by art manifestos, and the revival of Stay, Mohr's choreographic response to paintings of Francis Bacon. Hope Mohr Dance's ninth home season runs June 9 - 11, Thursday to Saturday at 8 p.m. Tickets are $30 - $45, and may be purchased online at odcdance.org/tickets.

Wooster Group's 'Hamlet' Extends 2-Weeks at Public Theatre
The Public Theater in association with St. Ann's Warehouse, will extend The Wooster Group's Hamlet for an additional two weeks due to the high demand for this wildly inventive take on Shakespeare's best-known tragedy. Directed by Elizabeth LeCompte, Hamlet marks the debut of the legendary Wooster Group at The Public Theater, building upon The Public's historic role as a home for independent and experimental artists. The Wooster Group's Hamlet was scheduled to close on November 18 but will now run an additional two weeks through Sunday, December 2. The production will have an official press opening on Wednesday, October 31.
