BIO

G.R. attended Oberlin College, studying Theater and English Literature with a focus on Shakespearean and Jacobean Drama, as well as the Modern American Novel. After graduating from Oberlin, G.R. was accepted into the professional actor training program at Temple University in Philadelphia, where he studied Fitzmaurice Voicework®, dialects, text analysis, stage combat, period movement, and performance. While at Temple, he spent a summer at the Williamstown Theater Festival performing in the Act I Company.
After receiving his M.F.A., Broadway casting director Jay Binder cast G.R. in his professional debut at the Huntington Theatre Company, a major regional theater in Boston, where G.R. played Otto von Aigner in Tom Stoppard's Undiscovered Country. G.R. also appeared in the sold-out, New York premiere of Stoppard's Indian Ink with Sendhil Ramamurthy (NBC's Heroes).
Upon arriving in New York City, G.R. began working at regional theaters such as the Alabama Shakespeare Company (with Michael Emerson of ABC's Lost), The Wilma Theater in Philadelphia, the Fulton Opera House in Pennsylvania, and many others. G.R. had the honor of acting with Oscar-winner Kim Hunter and her husband, Robert Emmett, in The Visit.
G.R. also originated roles in new plays at many New York theaters including La MaMa E.T.C., Vital Theatre Company, the NY International Fringe Festival, and others. Additionally, he workshopped Gross Indecency: The Three Trials of Oscar Wilde, directed by Moises Kaufman (HBO's The Laramie Project), as well as other new plays at Ensemble Studio Theater and the New York Theater Workshop.
On film, G.R. can be seen in several independent films such as Over the GW (Slamdance Film Festival), Aaron Bacon (Shanghai International Film Festival), Laser To The Angels, and Tom Comes Over To Visit. He also got his leg bitten off by a half-man, half-shark named Paul in the SyFy Channel movie SharkMan with William Forsythe.
G.R. is an avid volleyball player. He has captained several teams and competed in tournaments in the U.S. and the Caribbean.
