Mile Square Theatre, Hudson County's leading professional theatre, continues its 2017 season with a world premiere from NJ playwright Erin Mallon, which stars film, TV, and stage actor Richard Masur. The Net Will Appear is a heartwarming comedy of an unlikely friendship between the feisty 9-year-old Rory and her septuagenarian neighbor Bernard.

Walsh and Tony and Grammy Award-winning artist and Topdog/Underdog director Billy Porter will be honored with the Wimberly Award at the 2017 Spotlight Spectacular on Monday, April 24, 2017. The Huntington's festive annual event raises money to support the Huntington's programs, including its award-winning youth, education, and community initiatives that reach more than 39,000 annually.
Huntington Theatre Co. Extends Ayad Akhtar's THE WHO AND THE WHAT
The Huntington Theatre Company will present the provocative and moving drama The Who & the What by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Ayad Akhtar (Disgraced) and directed by Huntington Associate Producer M. Bevin O'Gara (Milk Like Sugar, Becoming Cuba). Performances begin Friday, March 31 and by popular demand the production has been extended through May 7, 2017 at the South End / Calderwood Pavilion at the BCA.

Huntington Names New Board of Trustees Officers
The Huntington Theatre Company Board of Trustees names David R. Epstein to the role of Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Sharon Malt to President, Carol B. Langer to Treasurer, and Sherryl Cohen to Clerk. Mr. Epstein and Ms. Malt assumed their new leadership roles at Monday's Huntington Board of Trustees meeting. Mr. Epstein succeeds Carol G. Deane (active in real estate management), Huntington Trustee Chairman since 2010; Ms. Malt succeeds Mitchell Roberts (owner of PR Restaurants LLC, a Panera Bread franchise), President since 2010. Both Ms. Deane and Mr. Roberts will continue to serve on the Huntington's Board of Trustees and Executive Committee.
Huntington Theatre Company to Open Stephen Sondheim's SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE This Fall
The Huntington Theatre Company will open its 2016-2017 season with the Pulitzer Prize-winning musical Sunday in the Park with George, Stephen Sondheim's stunning masterpiece about love, inspiration, and "the art of making art." Huntington Artistic Director Peter DuBois (A Little Night Music) will direct. Performances will run September 9 - October 16, 2016 at the Avenue of the Arts / BU Theatre. Tickets are now on sale to the general public.
Huntington's Spotlight Spectacular Raises More Than $1 Million for Education & Community Programs
Hundreds of guests honored Wimberly Award recipient Board Chairman Carol G. Deane and celebrated the all-star cast from the Huntington's hit production of A Little Night Music, while raising over $1,000,000 (with additional gifts still coming in) to support the Huntington's renowned education and community programs at the Spotlight Spectacular on Monday, April 25. 'We are here to ensure another year of access to the Huntington's programs for thousands of young people,' said Managing Director Michael Maso. 'The centerpiece of all our education programs, the place where opportunity begins and lives are changed, is our student matinee program.'
August Wilson's HOW I LEARNED WHAT I LEARNED Begins 3/5 at Huntington Theatre Company
The Huntington Theatre Company will present the powerful memoir August Wilson's How I Learned What I Learned, co-conceived and directed by Todd Kreidler (Guess Who's Coming to Dinner adapter at the Huntington) and featuring Eugene Lee (Radio Golf, Gem of the Ocean, and The Piano Lesson at the Huntington), both longtime Wilson collaborators. Performances begin Saturday, March 5 and continue through April 3, 2016 in the BU Theatre / Avenue of the Arts.
A CONFEDERACY OF DUNCES, Starring Nick Offerman, Extends Boston Run
Due to popular demand, the Huntington Theatre Company announces the addition of one week of performances to its run of the world premiere production of A Confederacy of Dunces. The show will now play through December 20, 2015 at the Boston University Theatre. Previews begin Wednesday, November 11; Opening Night is Wednesday, November 18. A new block of tickets are now on sale.

Performances begin November 11, 2015 and will run through December 13, 2015 at the BU Theatre / Avenue of the Arts.
